“I mostly work on the front-end of our software, because I love seeing the results of what I build right away - it’s super motivating! Together with my colleagues, I am working on bringing the new Wijkzorg project to life, with the hopes that this new, modern system is going to help healthcare workers like never before.”

Hi! I’m David, 25 years young and I am from Romania, but have been living in the Netherlands for a while now. I share my place with my girlfriend and two quirky parrots who definitely think they run the show. I’m a huge tech geek and love traveling - especially when it involves mountains. Norway is my go-to-spot for that. When I’m not on the move, I’m all about hanging out with people and diving into random off-the-wall conversations. The more unexpected, the better!

I was on the hunt for a new challenge when I came across Sven, the recruiter at Ecare. He was awesome to chat with - super friendly and fun, but also serious when it came to work stuff; just like Ecare. It was like the perfect mix of ‘party in the front, business in the back!’ He and Jan totally sold me on the idea that Ecare has an awesome work-life balance and a ton of programming challenges that would really help me level up my skills.

The best part of my job is the constant learning and growth. It was a bit intimidating at first, but once I leaned into it, it became one of the most exciting and motivating things for me. There’s always something new to tackle, so I know I'll never get bored! It also greatly helps to know that my work helps healthcare staff to do their actual work, instead of constantly stumbling over bureaucracy. And I really love the work-life balance I have here. Friday is our day off, which for me is more or less a mental health day in which I focus on my well being. In the near future, I plan to use it to improve my Dutch skills.

People at Ecare are very approachable, which made it so much easier for me when I started here. There’s a real sense of unity. It is a group of really skilled and dedicated people that work hard, but are also so much fun when the time is right. So far, the most fun experience for me was Kamp Ecare. A whole weekend together with lots of fun, great people and good vibes!

I’m really proud of the personal growth I’ve experienced over the last few years. I found that with great perseverance and optimism I can get anything I want in life.
